Real-world use — opening it, half-filling it, leaving it in a cold car — shortens that. We publish the 8-hour figure rather than the lab maximum, because that is the one you will actually get.

    12 hours below 8 °C from a fridge-cold fill, in a 20 °C room. Ice cubes extend it. The outside stays dry — no condensation ring on your desk, which is the part most single-wall bottles get wrong.

    Wall thickness, vacuum quality and the cap gasket. A cheap bottle usually has a partial vacuum that degrades within months, and a plastic-threaded cap that leaks once the thread wears. We publish our test numbers and sell spare caps and gaskets so the bottle stays in service.

    The body, yes — top rack, and the powder coating survives it. Hand-wash the cap so the silicone gasket keeps its seal. That is the only care instruction there is.
